“Hello, Jack. Thanks for saving our little girl.”
What is it about?
Joy and her son are trapped in a room together. We don’t know why and we don’t know how. A man occasionally brings them essentials but always remembers to lock the door. Now that Jack turns 5, Joy comes up with a plan to escape.
Who’s in it?
Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay.
Why should I watch it?
+ Oscar nominated performance by Brie Larson
+ The kid’s acting isn’t too bad either
+ Great story
+ Brings up interesting psychological subjects
+ Moving at times
+ Feels real
Why shouldn’t I watch it?
– Slows down a little bit halfway in
– Based on a book, so book is automatically better
– Can be used in an argument by anti-abortionists
It’s much better going into this movie not knowing what it is about. Don’t watch the trailer because like Kim Kardashian, it shows waaaay too much than it should.
