What’s it about?

A sarcastic and egotistical genius with a goatee changes his approach on life after experiencing a tragedy. Hold on… We’ve seen this one before, haven’t we?

Who’s in it?

Your next Batch of Cumber, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Hannibal Lecter, the lovely Rachel McAdams and that dude in the bees ep in the new season of Black Mirror.

Why should I watch it?

+ Benedict Cumberbatch completely owns the role like Reynolds did Deadpool and Downy Jr. did Tony Stark
+ Speaking of Stark, Steven Strange shares a lot of similarities with him
+ He’s got a big ego, has witty jokes, incredibly intelligent and surrounds himself with gadgets that allows him to project things and fly
+ So it’s a bit like watching Iron Man again
+ Through a kaleidoscope
+ While high on LSD
+ Really enjoyed the progression of his character and he grows up a lot more in one movie than Tony Stark with his trilogy
+ Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One also killed it
+ Most ‘masters’ you see in movies are straight up serious but she’s more playful
+ Rachel McAdams is pretty much Claire Temple from the Marvel Netflix series
+ Just fixing people up and falling in love with superheroes
+ Liked where they’re going with Mordo, it’s set up better than that shitty 2011 superhero movie based on a DC character
+ Amazingly trippy visuals and mind bending effects
+ Remember that quantum realm shit in Ant-Man?
+ It’s like that but on steroids
+ You’re not quite sure what you’re seeing, but you know you like it
+ Fight scenes are creative and there’s a lot of them
+ I’m talking about ghost fights, time fights and Inception-like wall fights
+ Making the cape sentient? Fucking genius
+ Still a lot of Marvel type humour sprinkled in
+ No training montage
+  Ending boss fight was really well done, especially against someone that is all powerful and larger than life
+ Almost like using passive aggresiveness to win
+ Two post-credit scenes, one fun and one sets up future movies
+ Soundtrack during the end credit scenes are awesome too btw
+ Liked the overall message of stop thinking about yourself and put others before you

Why shouldn’t I watch it?

– Even with a broken hand, his handwriting probably looks the same
– Doctors, right?
– Forget everything you think you know…
– Weeeeell, except about Marvel Villains
– To be fair, I kinda liked his motivations
– He genuinely thinks he’s doing the right thing
– Those comments above should be in the plus section really

Anything else?

Movie just generally plays with time and space like a Rubik’s cube. Marvel opens up a whole new world with this movie, and just like Princess Jasmine, just trust them, take their hand and go over, sideways and under on a magic carpet ride. Hey, at least 2016 now has a film on astral projections that doesn’t suck dick. I’m looking at you Ghostbusters.
